MIXED MEDIA/SCULPTURE:
My sculptural and mixed media works are assembled from constructed and found materials, including wood, steel, plaster, resin, and botanicals. Material history and process actively shape each piece.
The work explores identity, cultural inheritance, and lived experience, often returning to questions of how meaning is built, held, and transformed over time.

As a piece dedicated to the children separated from their families at our nations borders. The piece evolved during the transition of power that led to the January 6th Insurrection. The process was documented and shared via Villanueva's Instagram account.
